Privacy policy
This site is operated by Jeremy Soares, doing business as Modulaire Québec. Modulaire Quebec handles your personal information in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec). This page describes what we collect, why, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights.
Privacy officer
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Jeremy Soares — reachable via the contact page.
Information collected
We collect personal information through the following channels:
- Quote request form: name, email, phone, town and region, project type, timeline, budget and the message you write.
- Contact form: name, email and the content of your message.
- Newsletter: email address.
- Technical data: site audience measurement via Google Analytics 4 (with your consent only — see “Cookies and tracking technologies”) and partner-card click tracking (partner clicked, page and language — with no personal identifier).
Purposes
We use this information to: respond to your request; forward your quote request to partner builders so they can provide you with a quote — a referral for which Modulaire Quebec may receive compensation (see our disclosure page); send you the newsletter if you subscribe; and produce audience statistics (with your consent — see the “Cookies and tracking technologies” section).
We only forward your information to partner builders when you request a quote, with your consent, and never for any other purpose.
Sharing with third parties
Your information may be shared with: partner builders (the list appears on the disclosure page), when you request a quote; and with our technical service providers (hosting, email delivery, automation, audience measurement) acting on our behalf. If you have consented to analytics cookies, Google LLC receives anonymized browsing data as a technical data processor. No information that identifies you is sold to third parties.
Transfers outside Quebec
Some of our technical providers are located outside Quebec, notably in the United States:
- Resend (email delivery)
- Zapier (automation)
- Google LLC (audience measurement via Google Analytics 4 — only if you have consented to analytics cookies)
Personal information may be transmitted to or stored on these providers’ servers, governed by the contractual protections set out in each provider’s terms of service.
Retention
Quote and contact requests are kept for a maximum of 12 months after transmission or handling, then destroyed or anonymized. Your newsletter email address is kept until you unsubscribe. Browsing data collected via Google Analytics 4 (if you consented) is retained for 14 months as configured in our GA4 property’s data retention setting, then deleted automatically by Google.
Your rights
You may request access to your information, its correction, its deletion where the law allows, and withdraw your consent at any time. If partner builders have already received your request, we will inform them of your withdrawal or tell you how to reach them directly. To exercise these rights, write to the privacy officer via the contact page. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Cookies and tracking technologies
The site uses several categories of cookies.
Functional cookie
A language-preference cookie, necessary for the site to function. No consent required.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC, United States), which places two persistent cookies in your browser: “_ga” (visitor identifier — 2 years) and “_ga_EY7RNB16ZJ” (session state — 2 years). These cookies allow us to measure visitor counts, pages viewed, session duration, and other usage statistics. IP addresses are anonymized by Google by default before any storage. No advertising cookies or advertising profiling features are enabled. Data transmitted to Google is processed in the United States (see “Transfers outside Quebec”).
Consent management
A banner is shown on your first visit. You can accept or decline analytics cookies at that point. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed and Google Analytics does not load. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for this domain (which erases the stored preference under the key “mp_cookie”), or by contacting us via the contact page.
Partner-card click tracking
When you click a partner card, a technical signal is sent to our server indicating the partner clicked, the page, and the language. This signal contains no personal identifier, places no cookie, and does not require consent under Law 25.
