Editorial standards

Our editorial standards

Our articles rely on official, verifiable sources: manufacturer websites, public bodies (RBQ, CMHC, GCR), established media and dated publications. Every figure is dated and attributed to its source; when information is not published, we say so rather than guess.

We always separate editorial content from commercial content: paid placements are labelled, and relationships with our partners are disclosed at the top of articles and on our disclosure page. Every article is reviewed before publication.

Corrections policy

Spotted an error? Report it via our contact page. Material errors are corrected promptly once confirmed. Significant corrections are flagged with a dated notice at the top of the affected article, so readers know what changed and when.

AI disclosure

In the interest of transparency: content on this site is written with the assistance of artificial-intelligence tools, under human editorial supervision. Jeremy Soares reviews the content and assumes editorial responsibility for what is published. Facts come from the sources cited in each article, not from the tools themselves.

Code of ethics

Our editorial line is independent of our advertisers: no advertiser gets editorial control over our articles. We do not invent ratings or rankings. Every claim about a company is systematically attributed to its source. And we respect our readers' privacy, as described in our privacy policy.
